Tardigrades spending time on the beach wearing fancy swimsuits.

"My Dear Friend, we spent a lovely day on the Beach. We found two swimsuits in the attic and decided to wear them. They definitely were fancy sometime ago.. But I am certain that this fashion is timeless! The weather was sunny, the water was warm. We drank hot tea (we brought it in a thermos so it was still hot when we arrived at the beach). We played charades, drank tea, sculpted from sand a bit. We have sand in our fur now, but that's fine. We were the most fashionable today, of this I am sure!
What a lovely day it was!"

At the end - my two photos taken on the beach at Kurortny District, not far from Saint Petersburg.

  • From WIkipedia: Tardigrades, known colloquially as water bears or moss piglets, are a phylum of eight-legged segmented micro-animals. They were first described by the German zoologist Johann August Ephraim Goeze in 1773, who called them Kleiner Wasserbär ("little water bear"). In 1777, the Italian biologist Lazzaro Spallanzani named them Tardigrada, which means "slow steppers".
